Overview:


The Converter 50 is compatible with most Pilot fountain pens found on our site. Go to the landing page of the pen you have to find out if this converter is compatible. To use, insert the converter into the neck barrel of your pen. Rotate the knob of the converter counter-clockwise. Immerse the nib into ink, and turn the auger clock wise. Remove nib from ink. Voilą! Your pen is ready.

This converter works nicely, but I have to say that this is my first Pilot pen converter. I am used to Sailor pen converters, which seem to pick up more ink and seem to fill up completely. The Pilot converter, doesn't seem to fill completely and leaves a bit of space at the very top of it, so it never seems to be completely full. Otherwise a nice converter, it's easy to twist and feels very solid and well made. I will say that I bought this converter for the Pilot Vortex, and due to the Vortex's odd proportions, it is very difficult to see just how much ink is in the converter while the cap is posted on the pen. Just a minor complaint. But otherwise a very nice converter.
