Personally, I think any color of ink besides red, black, and blue are great for grading/editing. When friends give me their writing to look over, I tend to edit in light blue, purple, green, or mauve. I can agree with your warm color bias; I usually stay away from those colors of pens, too.

And I've never used brown before. I don't even think I've seen a brown pen before.

I'm with you on the brown.
